Book 1
Humans have been circling a dying Earth in a space station for centuries. With limited resources, things like medical treatment are in short supply. So when they find a tumor in Beatrice’s brain, their only option is nothing. “Nothing” doesn’t work for Beatrice, so she takes matters into her own hands. If she’s going to go out, it’s on her own terms. Good thing the vacuum of space provides some options.
After tracking her signal down, a spaceship full of mercenaries drag Beatrice into the the belly of their vessel. From there, she’s faced down with a motley crew of aliens. A giant mecha-spider, an octopus, a shapeshifter…and Malley.
Malley looks like he walked right out of a fantasy novel…as one of the monsters. Beneath the hard, rippling muscles, however, is a mathematician and a soft touch. Except when he gets excited…then a whole new Malley emerges. It doesn’t help that he’s fighting a weird, very inconvenient biological drive to posses her. Utterly uncivilized and the reason his species is in the state it is.
Can Beatrice handle everything that Malley has to offer before she starts to really get to know the crew.
